"I am Andrea Bloom, the patient that was interviewed for the NPR story that aired June 8, 2026. There is so much I shared with the interviewer, Allison Aubrey, that did not get captured in the story, so I am sharing here. I encourage anyone with risk factors for osteoporosis (female over 50, small boned, thin, parent with osteoporosis, white, Asian) to ask your doctor for a DXA Scan so you can take action if you have osteopenia. Be proactive with your health and ask your doctor for a prescription for the Osteoboost developed by Osteoboost Health. My doctor was not aware of the device and was happy that I brought it to her attention. She now recommends it for her patients given my results and is happy that I do not need a pharmaceutical solution as there can be negative side effects with medications. Grateful that we live in this time period where there are solutions available. Now, I don't have to fear aging and becoming frail. In the Spring I went skiing with my 28-year old son at Kirkwood. At the end of a full day of skiing when we were taking the long walk back to the car in our ski boots and carrying our skis and poles he said to me, "Mom, I can't believe you are keeping up with me!" and I said, "I can't believe it either, I feel great!" I look forward to many more decades of being active and enjoying my life with confidence and the Osteoboost has given that to me."
"I was very happy to find out that there is such a great device available for anyone who wants to take some action in order to prevent osteoporosis. I did my own research and asked my doctor for the prescription as soon as this option was available. Ever since I received my device, I’ve been using it mostly on the daily basis and my last bone density test shoved 7% improvement in the lumber area and no worsening in femur neck. I do anything in my power to stay strong, active and healthy. I exercise. I take certain supplements and osteoboist became another tool in my “toolbox “ ."
I wanted to try Osteoboost because my mom has osteoporosis and I wanted to incorporate every tool I can to prevent progression from osteopenia to osteoporosis. I have already been doing weightlifting, impact exercise, good nutrition and supplements, and HRT and had seen some improvement in BMD on Dexa. After using the Osteoboost belt for 6 months, I had my next annual DEXA and there was a 5.5% increase in BMD in my lumbar spine (making me no longer osteopenic)! Super happy with the results. It's easy to use and fit into my routine without taking up any extra time. It feels like a nice mild vibration.

"I am a retired endocrinologist; I have osteopenia and a strong family history of osteoporotic fractures. I am familiar with drugs that are available for osteoporosis treatment and their side effects, but am always on the lookout for other treatments. Osteoboost has recently been approved by the FDA for treatment of osteopenia on the basis of scientific studies.
"After going through menopause I was given an osteopenia diagnosis. I saw an orthopedic PA whose only suggestion was infusion treatment. I researched alternative therapies and learned about the Osteoboost start-up, so I asked the PA about it, but she and her medical doctor colleagues were unaware of this new device. Since my primary care doctor is open-minded about new treatments we discussed the science behind Osteoboost and he immediately signed me up to be a pioneer of the technology.
The first thing I do everyone morning is wear my Osteoboost belt and then I go for a 4 mile walk. Using it requires a simple and painless thirty minute session.
I feel empowered using Osteoboost since I take control of when to use it, and combined with diet and exercise, I’m certain it will slow my bone loss. An added bonus is no side-effects from medication therapy.
In 3 months I have a Dexascan after a year of Osteoboost use, and I anticipate positive results!"
"After trying the calcium route hoping it would help, the dexel test showed my osteoporosis was getting worse. The doctors were predicting a very frightening future and even though I was hesitant, I agreed to take the bone medicine. It was soon discovered that I am highly allergic to it. Now I had no other options and the doctors urging me to be careful. A friend sent me the Osteoboost advert and I thought, well, I'm doing everything else, the weights, the calcium, the prunes why not give it a try. I asked my doctor for the prescription and although skeptical, she gave it to me.
I have not yet had the dexel test but I am due soon, however, I will say this. I took a nasty fall down concrete stairs. There were nine steps, I was on the second step when I went airborne. I missed the remaining steps and landed about twenty-four inches away from the last step. I know this because a crowd gathered. I landed on my left side, knee crashing into the cement. Everyone was getting ready to call an ambulance. I got up! I had some deep tissue bruising. I did not break any bones, not my wrists, not my knee, not my hip! My doctor was amazed. I was colorful and sore but I was intake.
While the numbers on the test that I will soon have may not show an improvement, I firmly believe if I hadn't been using the Osteoboost, that fall would have put me in the hospital. My GP doctor actually said "keep using it! My END doctor asked me for information about the device. It's easy to use, and I do it everyday. I believe my body is telling me, this is good."

"I found Osteoboost when looking for non-drug-related ways to increase bone density. I found the drugs to cause sufficient calcium imbalances in leg and heart muscle that I could not maintain my cardiovascular fitness regime (swimming 1-2 miles per week plus fast-paced walking most days of the week). I had severe osteoporosis (T -4 in the L1-4 area). I use Osteoboost usually when cooking in the evening -see photo because it is an easy routine.
My L1-4 improved by 4% in 3 months of use per my last DEXA scan (same facility, same machine). I look forward to my next scan!"

"I was diagnosed with low bone density three years ago after a DEXA scan. I adjusted some of my supplements and my exercise program but two years later I was skirting close to osteoporosis in my hip. That was scary for me as my mom had had both hip and back fractures. I have been using Osteoboost for one year now, and just got a new DEXA scan. The bone density in my hip increased over 9% — radiologist said it was significantly better, and I am no longer close to being osteoporotic. I am so thrilled about this result! It’s so easy to use and does more for me in 30 minutes than anything else I’ve tried!"

I ordered an Osteoboost belt because I am 87, have scoliosis, bulging disks & back pain, and osteopenia. I have hope that by wearing the Osteoboost belt my bones will strengthen and perhaps I will see some improvement with the other conditions I have mentioned. I have told several people about the product and the next time I take a DXA test, based on the results, I will let still others know.

I was one of the first to sign up for Osteoboost because I don't want to take drugs for osteoporosis. I've been using it for a year, and at my recent appointment with my doctor, I learned that my numbers have stayed the same over the past 2 years. I'm 77, and my numbers had been getting worse. So, yay! It's easy to use. I just hook it one when I'm walking the dog or doing housework for half an hour a day. So happy to have something I can do for my bones.
